American action thriller The Beekeeper, written and directed by Kurt Wimmer, was released in 2024. Jason Statham, Josh Hutcherson, Bobby Naderi, Phylicia Rashad, Jemma Redgrave, Jeremy Irons, and Emmy Raver-Lampman are among the movie's stars. Following his generous landlady's suicide due to a phishing scam, ex-"Beekeeper" agent Adam Clay launches a vicious campaign to exact revenge on those who deceived her.

On January 12, 2024, Amazon MGM Studios published The Beekeeper in the United States under the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer label. Globally, the movie has brought in $152.7 million.

Adam Clay, a retired school teacher, rents a room in Eloise Parker's barn but leads a solitary life as a beekeeper. A phishing scheme that defrauds Eloise of $2 million from a charity fund she oversees and leaves her bankrupt. Heartbroken, she ends her life. When Adam finds her body, Eloise's daughter Verona Parker, an FBI agent, takes him into custody right away. Verona informs Adam that although the FBI was aware of the group that had deceived her mother, they were hard to find when he is cleared and set free. Adam gets in touch with the mysterious Beekeepers in an attempt to bring those guilty for Eloise's death to justice.

Adam is given the address of a Mickey Garnett-run phone center. Adam burns down the building after frightening off the staff. Mickey tells Derek Danforth, his boss, who is a technology executive, and Mickey is sent to assassinate Adam. Adam murders Mickey's men and uses a bandsaw to cut Mickey's right hand fingers during the next violent altercation. While parked at a bridge, Mickey contacts Derek and tells him that Adam is a beekeeper. After trailing Mickey, Adam uses his truck to drag him off the bridge, killing him, and threatens Derek with more attacks.

At Jessica's request, Derek's mother, Derek, tells former CIA director Wallace Westwyld, who oversees security for Danforth Enterprises, about Adam. Wallace, worried, tries to stop Adam by contacting the current director of the CIA, Harward. After getting in touch with the Beekeepers, Harward discovers that Adam has left the group. The Beekeepers announce their neutrality after Adam murders Anisette, the current Beekeeper who was assigned to assassinate him. Verona and her business partner, Matt Wiley, believe Adam is about to launch an attack on the Nine Star United Center, located in Boston and in charge of all of Derek's international scam contact centers. Verona and Matt get whatever they ask for after telling FBI Deputy Director Prigg that Adam is a beekeeper.

Wallace organizes a group of former members of the special forces and informs them that the Beekeepers are a highly competent and deadly covert human intelligence outfit that operates outside of official channels and is tasked with protecting the United States. Wallace gives the order for the gang to protect the Nine Star Building's inside as the FBI deploys their own SWAT team around the building's exterior in an attempt to stop Adam. Adam is able to swiftly overpower the FBI SWAT team and gain entry into the building since Derek won't let the staff leave. After eliminating every member of Wallace's former special forces squad, Adam questions manager Rico Anzalone, who discloses that Derek is his superior.

Derek is the owner of both businesses, which are used by multiple US federal entities, Verona tells Prigg. Verona further raises the possibility that Adam will not only try to kill Derek, but also Jessica Danforth, the US president, since her son utilized the pilfered money to support her candidacy. Wallace tells Derek to stay with his mother while Adam evades capture, protected by the Secret Service.

Wallace employs a crew of mercenaries, including Lazarus—who lost his leg in an earlier confrontation with a Beekeeper—at Jessica's beachfront estate. Adam breaks into the estate while Jessica finds out from Prigg what her son has been up to. Jessica makes the decision to inform Adam and the public about Derek's usage of the program as he kills the mercenaries and Lazarus in the path to the President's office. Derek kills Prigg out of rage and kidnaps his mother. Wallace tries to cajole Adam into turning away at the last second, but after Adam fractures his finger, Wallace is unsuccessful. When Adam finally makes it to Jessica's office, Verona, Matt, and the other FBI agents arrive in short order.

Verona makes an effort to talk Adam out of murdering Derek and Jessica. Adam kills Derek before he can murder his mother, and Derek flees out of a neighboring window onto the beach. Verona chooses not to shoot Adam despite having a clear shot. Using the underwater gear he had hidden on the sand, he makes his escape.
