KGF: Chapter 2 is an Indian Kannada-language period action movie from 2022 that is produced by Hombale Films' Vijay Kiragandur and written and directed by Prashanth Neel[19]. It is a continuation of the 2018 movie KGF: Chapter 1 and the second of a three-part series. Ayyappa P. Sharma, Saran Shakti, Easwari Rao, John Kokken, T.S. Nagabharana, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty, Prakash Raj, Achyuth Kumar, Rao Ramesh, Vasishta N. Simha, Ayyappa P. Sharma, Archana Jois, and Malavika Avinash are among the ensemble cast members that feature in the movie.
K.G.F: Chapter 2 is the most costly Kannada film ever produced, with a ₹100 crore budget. With Ravi Basrur writing the soundtrack and songs and Bhuvan Gowda handling cinematography, Neel kept the technicians from its predecessor. Early in 2019, Dutt and Tandon (the former in his first Kannada film) joined the cast. A portion of the movie was filmed concurrently with Chapter 1. The COVID-19 lockdown in India caused the principal photography for the remaining sequences to end in February 2020, although it had started in March 2019. Five months later, filming got again underway, and it was finished in December 2020. Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mysore, and Kolar were among the locations.
On April 14, 2022, KGF: Chapter 2 was released in theaters across India in Kannada. Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi dubbings were also available. It's also the first Kannada movie to be shown in an IMAX theater.Both viewers and critics gave the movie favorable reviews. It broke records for domestic opening days in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Malayalam, scored the fourth-highest opening day in India, and in just two days, overtook its predecessor's lifetime gross to become the highest-grossing Kannada film. Having made between ₹1,200 and ₹1,250 crore worldwide,[20] K.G.F.: Chapter 2 is the second-highest grossing movie in India and the fourth-highest grossing Indian film globally.
Following Anand Ingalagi's stroke, his son Vijayendra Ingalagi takes over as the storyteller, going over what happened in KGF: Chapter 1.
In order to get the support of Guru Pandian, Andrews, Kamal, and Rajendra Desai, Rocky kills the apparent heir Virat and seizes control of the Kolar Gold Fields while holding Reena captive. However, Kamal becomes furious and threatens to murder Rocky after Rocky displays his haughtiness and makes fun of Reena. This infuriates Rocky, who then shoots Kamal without warning. Rocky then gives the order to begin working in eight buried mines, and Vanaram, whom Rocky had captured, chooses to assist him.
Adheera reappears in the interim and eliminates every guard at an outpost. Andrews kills Desai to trick Reena into leaving K.G.F. in a scheme to bring Rocky to Adheera, and John follows Adheera's orders to kidnap Reena. Adheera shoots Rocky in an attempt to save Reena, but he escapes with his life, and his men block all gold exports from K.G.F. Later, with Inayat Khalil's newly acquired assistance, Shetty teams up with other Andrews subordinates across the western coast of India and eliminates Rocky's comrades; however, Rocky's allies murder Shetty's colleagues and retake the coast.
Reena and a recuperating Rocky travel to Dubai to transact gold with Khalil and purchase Kalashnikov rifles from him. Using their newfound weapons, Rocky and his group murder Adheera's goons and inflict serious injuries on him. A no-confidence resolution to remove the DYSS-backed administration and install Ramika Sen was prepared by certain central ministers who were fed up with K.G.F. However, Rocky's goons intimidate other ministers ahead of the vote, and the motion is defeated. Rocky takes over Bombay by killing Shetty as well. Rocky is warned by Pandian about Sen's increasing prominence, but he ignores him.
Rocky keeps up the mining but stops all exports from K.G.F., strained relations with Khalil. His assistants track down his biological father, a drinker who deserted his family, and give the uninformed man money to look after Shanti's recently moved grave. Following Reena's confession of her affections to Rocky, they tie the knot. Rocky meets with Sen and presents her with a file detailing his involvement in money laundering, but because nearly every member of her party is involved in corruption, she is unable to take it seriously. Adheera, still enraged at his loss, uses Khalil's fleet to help him travel to K.G.F. in secret with Andrews, Daya, and John. Adheera murders Reena as soon as she tells Rocky she's pregnant.
During the subsequent struggle, Daya and Andrews are killed by Rocky's soldiers, and Rocky also kills John and strangles Adheera. Rocky and his goons stop Sen from speaking before the Parliament and murder Pandian, who had planned the Garuda attack that led to Adheera's framing and told Adheera about Garuda's strike beforehand. In addition, he was the one who led Andrews to hire Rocky, led Adheera to the secret tunnel, organized the Delhi no-confidence motion, and convinced Shetty to work with Khalil only to win Rocky's trust).
Sen upholds the Indian Army and issues a death order for Rocky. Rocky takes his gold cache aboard a ship and flees K.G.F. Rocky establishes a new colony for all K.G.F. employees before departing. He keeps giving the Navy signals about where he is, but he won't give up. Sen gives the order to destroy Rocky's ship and K.G.F., and he drowns in the seas along with the gold, which is still missing today. A young Ingalagi becomes so enthralled by Rocky's life that he chooses to write a book on him.
Three months prior to Rocky's demise, in the post-credits sequence, Ramika Sen receives a file from CIA agent John Booker detailing Rocky's offenses committed in 16 different nations as well as the USA between 1978 and 1981. The last draft of K.G.F.: Chapter 3 is discovered by the peon of the 24/News channel in the present, suggesting that the story is still ongoing.

Vasishta N. Simha plays Kamal, a high-ranking KGF associate and former fiancé of Reena, who despises Rocky but is killed by him when he blackmails Rocky (long cameo) Rao Ramesh plays Kanneganti Raghavan, a perceptive and clever C.B.I. officer who battles to apprehend the KGF Gold Mafia members[23].
